Tieguanyin Black Tea
The malty flavor profile expected from black tea combines with characteristic elements of the tieguanyin cultivar in this special summer-picked tea. Those familiar with tieguanyin in its usual form will recognize a dry aromatic quality in the flavor that transforms into a subtlely sweet finish. As this sweetness is less overt than the that of the hongyu black tea, consider this one a good candidate for pairing with sweet desserts. Also not to be overlooked is the aroma from the dry leaves, fundamentally fruity but with a little bit of rose-floral as well: hard to describe but easy to appreciate.
